Butterflies in the Maze World

Apart of mazes, the Maze World in Bliziny since last year offers also another attraction for its visitors. It's a butterfly house.

We've first come across a butterfly house in Poznan zoo two years ago. But that was a bit different. While in Poznan we got to see amazing and colourful tropical butterflies, in Bliziny we could (theoretically) see Polish species. Why theoretically? Cause soon before we got into the house, most butterflies hid themselves in anticipation of rain. No, they could not get wet, but apparently they're the best rain forecast you could get.

What we did manage to see, though, was an exotic night butterflies (I can't remember the name of it). It has no digestive system as a butterly, cause the pure purpose of its life is to procreate. They only live for something like six days, so not long. And while we were inside, they were not moving, so we could easily take a close look at them.

And at some point even some Polish butterflies came to see who's inside with them ;)

We could only get into the butterly house with a guide, who was telling the kids all about the lifes of butterlies, showing them what they eat, how they change, where they hide, etc. Educational and interesting, not only for kids.

Poza labiryntami, od zeszłego roku możemy w Blizinach w Świecie Labiryntów skorzystać z jeszcze jednej atrakcji. Możemy wejść do Motylarni.

Pierwszy raz z motylarnią spotkaliśmy się dwa lata temu w zoo w Poznaniu. Ale to było coś troszkę innego. W Poznaniu podziwialiśmy cudne, kolorowe motyle egzotyczne, podczas gdy w Blizinach możemy (teoretycznie) podziwiać nasze polskie okazy. Dlaczego teoretycznie?

Żyje on bodajże sześć dni, czyli niezbyt długo.

Pouczające i ciekawe. Nie tylko dla dzieci.

The amazing Maze World

The previous Saturday we went to Bliziny to the Maze World and I wanted to tag our last year's visit there when I found out that... I haven't published a single word on that! So, here's me making up for this mishap.

Last year's maze was in the shape of a tiger. There was a tribe called Bulla-Bulla, living on a Wild Island. One day a gorilla escaped from its cage and stole all the bottles with mysterious mixtures. It hid those bottles in a scary maze. The task was to help the tribe get back their precious bottles.

That's it for the story. As the previous year, first you had to tick off the list the six small mazes in order to get the map of the big maze. In the corn maze we were to find letters and then make a word of them. And that was it. That was enough to get the diploma for accomplishing the task. Yet again, so much fun and a whole day out. An amazing adventure second year in a row.

To tyle, jeśli chodzi o historyjkę. Podobnie jak rok wcześniej, najpierw należało zaliczyć małe labirynty, aby otrzymać mapę dużego. W labiryncie kukurydzianym szukaliśmy liter, z których później należało ułożyć jedno słowo. I to tyle. Tyle wystarczyło, by otrzymać dyplom ukończenia zadania.

A taste of Minotaur's life - part 2

As promised, today I'm giving you the pictures of the big corn maze. The funny and exhausting experience ;)

Zgodnie z obietnicą, wklejam zdjęcia dużego kukurydzianego labiryntu. Zabawnego i wykańczającego doświadczenia ;)
