Natural History Museum & Science Museum

It's the last weekend of free A1 this summer, so we're planning to make use of it and go visit Toruń tomorrow. I'll definitely let you know how it was.

In the meantime,  I'll continue with what feels like a never-ending-story about our spring trip. Yes, it was that long ago and I still can't finish it all. Shame on me.

We finally got to London, as I've already mentioned. Late at night, but it's London. That was our only chance to see London by night, as our kids go to sleep quite early in the evening. So there's also a good side to that.

Our main goal in London (apart from shopping, duh) was going to Science Museum and Natural History Museum. With Arturek, especially, as he was the one who was most interested in it all.

Natural History Museum was a bit of a disappointment (What I love the most about this museum is the building itself ;)). Well, we knew perfectly well what we were going to see and we thought Artur would be more interested in that, judging on what he's interested in at home. He wasn't. Not that much. Luckily, he's not into dino world, so we didn't have to wait in that long line to the dino section. What a relief. We went to human body section and he did enjoy that. He loves the "Once upon a time... Life" series. He did like that, although at some point he got a bit bored. And Paulinka served as a great example for all of us when we were reading abount infants. Not all the things were true, basing on her example, but it was still fun to watch her.

We also saw the big mammals, and, of course, we entered the museum through the Earth section. But, basically, that was it. We decided to leave and enjoy ourselves in some other places.

We also went to Science Museum. And that place was so much better for us. Artur loves the interactive section on the ground floor, where he could play and learn at the same time. That was awesome. And we had time to watch the 3D Print exhibit, which was also great. Then we went through some exhibits that I can't even name. We definitely went to see medical section, genetics, something with natural disasters, like floods, oh, we also saw the planes and all...  before we finally got to Launchpad. And that was it! All the beauty of the place in a single room. Well, two or three rooms, to be exact. All interactive with people explaining everything in an understandable way. What else can you want? A lab show might be the case. Krzysiek took Artur to one of such shows organised in the Launchpad. Artur was thrilled! So that was definitely a place worth a visit.

And it's free of charge ;)

Głównym celem wizyty w Londynie (poza zakupami, oczywiście) były Muzeum Nauki i Muzeum Historii Naturalnej.

Całe szczęście, nie pociąga go świat dinozaurów, więc ominęło nas stanie w kolejce do sekcji prehistorycznej. Wielka ulga.

Poszliśmy też obejrzeć wystawę wielkich ssaków, no a samo zwiedzanie rozpoczęliśmy oczywiście od części poświęconej naszej planecie. Ale to by było na tyle praktycznie. Postanowiliśmy wyjść i lepiej czas wykorzystać w innych miejscach.

Byliśmy również w Muzeum Nauki. I to miejsce zdecydowanie lepiej do nas przemawiało.

No i jest jeszcze jeden plus. Wstęp do muzeów jest darmowy ;)

    1. That's true. I usually can't go past one either. When I'm in a given place, I try to make the most of my visit (I tend to skip art galleries, though ;)). Thanks for dropping by!
