If you missed part 1, you can find it here.
Yet again, this post is to present a little bit of the beauty of Alhambra Palaces. Cause pictures can't really show it. You just have to be there. Experience it. Walk through the narrow alleys. Take a closer look at all the ornaments. Take in the views from Alcazaba. Wait in the long line to get in to the Nasrid Palaces, even though you have the time given on the ticket when you surely will be let in, no matter if you stand at the beginning or at the end of the line (just that at the end you might not hear that your time group is getting in. And once you miss it, there's no making up for it. You can neither get in earlier nor later).
The first part of the pictures is from Alcazaba. The fortress. The views of the town as well.
Finally, we got in to Nasrid Palaces. We were already all exhausted. I didn't even mind carrying Paula around, though, as long as she patiently let me see it all. The beauty of the ornaments, of the details of decorations, of each and every single window sill, column, hole in the wall is simply indescribable.
I chose just a handful of pictures. And that's it for Granada. After seeing Alhambra, we got back to our campsite, doing some shopping on the way. We spent the last night in Granada. In the morning, we packed our tent, packed all our belongings and were ready to head further up north. Even though we planned some sightseeing on the way, we managed to drive all the way to Merida (no, not the red-haired princess in green dress from Disney's movie, but a town in Extremadura, Spain. And to be even more honest, we didn't see the town. We just spent the night at the campsite right off its borders.
