Paulinka's 9th month

9 months old. Yes, that's true. The passing months still keep amazing me. This ninth month was full of changes in our girl's life. She made so much progress in her development, learnt so many new things. But first things first.

- Last time I wrote that she started sitting on her own. That was a day or two before she turned eight months. Ever since then she's mastered that skill, sitting all straight up and not skewed like at the beginning. And she keeps spending more and more time in that position.
- She is standupping (that's probably not even a word, but works for me ;)) whenever and wherever she can. She just needs to hold on to something. Anything for that matter. Every single thing is good in helping her to stand up. A chair. A couch. A bed. Her crib. A coffee table. A window glass. Her learning table. Her mommy's pants (while I'm wearing them, of course. It's a funny feeling when you feel like somebody is trying to take your pants off, you turn around and you see a smiling face right behind you, so proud of her accomplishment). Her chair. Anything.
- She can stand for a few second, balancing like crazy ;), not holding on to anything.
- She has started walking. Not entirely on her own yet, though. She walks around her learning table or a coffee table. Or she stands up holding on to something with one hand and waving the other one at me, making noise at the same time to catch my attention. I come up to her, give her my finger, she grabs it and starts waving with the other hand for another finger. And that way we walk around the house. The distance keeps growing every day. I can't believe that two weeks ago she didn't even want to make a single step! So much progress!
- She still moves around on all four. Or finally, as up till recently she preferred crawling. And she keeps doing it faster and faster.
- She started moving not only on her hands and knees, but also on her hands and feet. She used to stand in that position. Now she's also moving.
- She has three new teeth. Both upper central incisors and lower left lateral incisor. Seven in total and the eighth one is on its way.
- She has started playing with Artur. Not only sitting next to him. They can spend time together, unsupervised. Ok, not that strictly supervised. He complains at times that she destroys whatever he builds, but can understand that as well and sometimes builds things for her to destroy.
- She can point to a cup under which a ball is hidden (the cup is not transparent).
- She loves eating bread with butter. Frankly speaking, she'd eat you if you let her. No, but honestly, she wants to try anything anyone is eating.
- She throws herself a ball, chases it, grabs it and throws it again. She can go on like this for a while.
- She loves playing with magnets on my parents' fridge.
- She is swinging in a swing that Artur once got from his grandparents (Me: Artur, do you remember it? Arturek: Yes, I do! That's a swing from my childhood!). She likes it a lot.

And now it's picture time!

No i spędza coraz więcej czasu w tej pozycji.
- Wstaje gdzie i kiedy tylko może. Musi się tylko czegoś przytrzymać. Czegokolwiek. Wszystko jest dobre, żeby pomóc jej wstać. Krzesło. Kanapa. Łóżko. Jej łóżeczko. Ława. Szyba w oknie.
Podchodzę, podaję jej palec, który ona ochoczo łapie, a drugą łapką wymachuje, by dać jej jeszcze jeden.
Dwie górne jedynki i lewą dolną dwójkę. W sumie siedem. Ósmy w drodze.
- Zaczęła się bawić z Arturem. Nie tylko siedzieć obok niego. Potrafią spędzać razem czas, bez nadzoru. No dobra, z lekkim nadzorem.
Szczerze mówiąc, was by zjadła, gdyby jej pozwolić.
- Rzuca sobie piłeczkę, goni ją, łapie i znów rzuca.
To huśtawka z mojego dzieciństwa!). Bardzo to lubi.

A teraz czas na zdjęcia!
